Karen McGrail, MEd, RD, LDN
Karen McGrail is a licensed Registered Dietitian who has been providing nutrition services at our office since 2003. Prior to coming to Framingham Pediatrics, she worked for 10 years as a pediatric and neonatal dietitian at Massachusetts General Hospital and then at MetroWest Medical Center for 8 years. Karen completed her Masters of Education in Nutrition in 1999 and since that time has been a part-time nutrition instructor at Framingham State College. In 2005, she was awarded Outstanding Dietetics Educator by the American Dietetics Association. Karen is also involved with the Framingham Public Schools, as the Healthy Choices coordinator. The Healthy Choices grant supports the Jump Up & Go! program, which integrates nutrition and physical activity into middle schools in Massachusetts. She is also a presenter for the John Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition, which provides nutrition programs across the state. Karen speaks to audiences of teachers and other school professionals on topics such as Food Allergies and Healthy Weights for Kids.
