The team at Framingham Pediatrics strongly believes in the effectiveness and safety of all routine childhood immunizations. Immunizations have dramatically reduced illness and death in children and are one of the most valuable protections parents can provide their children. We believe that all children and young adults should receive the recommended immunizations according to the schedule published by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
We understand that families are faced with conflicting information about the risks and benefits of vaccines. We are committed to providing families with credible, fact-based information and to working with families who have questions about vaccines.
When families contact our office to establish care, we will ask if the child's vaccines are up to date and/or if they intend to administer routine childhood vaccines. If a new family has made a decision not to vaccinate their child, we will recommend that they seek care elsewhere. Our practice is not a good fit for families who do not intend to follow the recommended guidelines for routine childhood immunizations. We are happy to answer any questions you have and encourage you to review the information in the links below regarding immunizations.
